Next Steps

Discipleship is not a program, it's a process. At River Club, our goal is to provide you resources and opportunities to take the next step in your spiritual journey.

We understand that everyone's path will not be the same, but our goal is that we develop attitudes, entertain thoughts, and live a lifestyle that reflects the character of Jesus Christ.

Our hope is that we can help you with your "next step" as you seek to follow Christ on a daily basis.

Accept Jesus Accept Jesus Christ
The Bible tells us that God is knocking at the door of our lives, and in response we have to open that door and let Him in. God wants to have a personal relationship with us…that begins at that moment, and lasts for eternity.
Baptism
Baptism is an outward expression of an inner experience one has had with Jesus. Baptism affirms our commitment to God, and illustrates our new life in Christ.
Fresh Start Class
Fresh Start with God is designed to encourage, equip and assimilate new and recommitted believers as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. So if you have committed your life to Jesus recently, just been baptized, or maybe just not sure about your faith, this class is a great place to start...hence the name "Fresh Start".
Volunteer Opportunities
One of our core values at River Club is servanthood. Our volunteer opportunities help people plug into the life of the church, but also serve to promote spiritual growth.

Church Membership
Membership at River Club is not like membership in a social club or other organizations. Most organization members are consumers; the organization exists to serve them. At River Club membership means ministry and service, going from being a consumer to becoming a provider of God's love and care to others. We take seriously that we are a church not for ourselves, but for others. Membership says “I am totally committed to this body of believers”. Membership matters.
Giving Systematic Giving
Stewardship is discipleship. Jesus talked more about money and possessions than about faith and prayer combined. Helping people grow in the discipline of giving is a key element of overall discipleship.

Life Enrichment Classes
These are classes on a variety of current and practical topics such as: marriage enrichment, money management, dealing with stress and others, that simply help us navigate life.
Foundations Classes
These 4-week topic-driven studies take a more detailed look at key foundational aspects of the Christian faith. Topics include: The Bible, God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, The Afterlife and others. These will be offered on Sunday mornings.

Growth Groups
We understand that spiritual growth is not an individual sport. We all need a small group of believers, to help encourage, support, trust and care for each other. At River Club, our Growth Groups operate on a three months on, one month off schedule.

Ministry Opportunities and Missions
One of our other core values is to be "outward focused" as we endeavor to get outside the walls of our church and to make a difference, serving the needs of our community or wherever God calls us.
